Learn new skills in a relaxed, friendly environment
Small class sizes for individual attention
Materials and light refreshments included – please bring your own lunch.
Learn a new skill in a relaxed and friendly environment with one of our Knitting and Crochet workshops. The workshops are held in our new craft room and are led by experienced tutors. Where possible, we try to make our workshops project-based so that you’ve got something to finish at home.
The cost of the workshops includes the yarn, full tuition and light refreshments (please bring your own lunch). You will also receive 10% off further purchases on the day.
Places are limited to ensure individual attention so please book early to avoid disappointment. If you would like to book a workshop place as a gift for someone else just let me know and I’ll send you a gift voucher confirming their place. Workshops are non-refundable. If you can’t make it after booking, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to transfer you on to another workshop.
We have some very talented tutors to lead the workshops:
Louise Bromley is a talented crocheter with a fabulous eye for colour who always brings lots of ideas and inspiration with her. She also runs a very successful crochet group in Market Harborough.
Emma Manfield was taught to knit by her grandmother. She has a degree in Constructed Textile Design and ran her own wool shop in Rushden, Northants for ten years. Having spent so much of her time with many knitters, young and old, she has acquired a wealth of knowledge of techniques and ways of knitting and crocheting which she loves to share with others.
Julie Beardwell is the owner of Wool Zone. She has been knitting for almost 50 years (how did that happen?!) and crocheting for just over a year. She loves knitting socks and is happy to share tips and techniques with anyone who will listen.
We also run a more informal Square Up Session from 10.30 – 12.30 on the first Saturday of the month, knitting squares to make into blankets for the homeless. Come along and we’ll teach you to knit, show you new stitches, how to read a pattern etc. More experienced knitters and crocheters are also welcome. We charge just £5 per session and will provide yarn and needles if you don’t have your own.
