DROPS Andes is spun from 2 strands in the traditional combination of 65% wool and 35% alpaca. The mixture brings out the silkiness of alpaca while the wool gives the yarn better shape stability. The yarn fibres are untreated, which means that they it is only washed and not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. This highlights the fibre’s natural properties and provides a better shape and texture quality.
DROPS Andes contains some mixed colours, which means that the yarn is manufactured by carding the colours together before spinning to give a mixed effect.
DROPS Andes is very easy to work with thick needles and hooks and ideal for felting, DROPS Andes is perfect for winter garments, accessories and home knits.
