It’s time to top up your sock yarn stash as there’s 30% off Drops Fabel and Drops Delight for all of March.
Hard wearing as only a sock yarn can be, DROPS Fabel is a 4 stranded yarn and is superwash treated, which makes it machine washable and easy to care for. Compared to regular sock yarns, DROPS Fabel is spun in a softer wool quality, which makes it an amazing all-round yarn, suitable for far more than socks – try it for baby garments, shawls and blankets.
Here are a couple of patterns that are definitely on my to-make list:
Hello Stripes is knitted in the round from the bottom-up and requires just 2 balls of Fabel Print (shown here in shade 910) and 1 to 2 balls of Fabel Uni in off-white, so during March you can knit this for £4.80 – £6.40.
These Festival Socks are a lovely bright spring knit and use just 3 balls of Fabel Print – shades 903, 910 and 904 – again, an absolute bargain at just £4.80 for the yarn. And, don’t forget – like all Drops Design patterns, the sock pattern is free!
Drops Delight is a single stranded yarn, made with superwash treated wool and strengthened with polyamide. An exciting and machine washable yarn that you can use for much more than just socks! Try it on larger projects like cardigans, jumpers, scarves and accessories. It has a nice handspun texture with small thickness variations and the “magic print” provides smooth colour transitions.
Drops Delight is great for home décor projects like the Sunrise Memories Cushion. Knitted in shades 08 and 11, the cushion cover requires just 4 balls of yarn – a snip at £6.40.
Or, if you prefer to crochet, you can make True Colours, a colourful throw with just two shades of Delight – shown here in shades 11 and 19. It takes 14 balls in total so, during March the throw will cost just £22.40 to crochet.
So here’s to sockalicious knitting and crochet – do let me know what you’re making with your sock yarn bargains.
