Learn a new skill in a relaxed and friendly environment with one of our Knitting and Crochet workshops. The workshops are held in the shop on Tuesdays and Sundays (when the shop is shut) and are led by experience tutors.
Knitting workshops cover Knitting for Beginners. Knitting with Texture, Knitting with Beads and Professional Finishing Techniques. Crochet workshops include Crochet for Beginners, Crochet Funday and Christmas Crochet for Improvers.
The cost of the workshops includes the yarn, full tuition and light refreshments (please bring your own lunch). You will also receive 10% off further purchases on the day.
Places are limited to 5 to ensure individual attention so please book early to avoid disappointment. If you would like to book a workshop place as a gift for someone else just let me know and I’ll send you a gift voucher confirming their place.
We have some very talented tutors to lead the workshops:
Louise Bromley is a talented crocheter with a fabulous eye for colour who always brings lots of ideas and inspiration with her. She also runs a very successful crochet group in Market Harborough.
Alitzah Grant is the designer, tutor and blogger behind Of Blithe Spirit. She has a wealth of teaching experience and has worked as a Tutor and Design Consultant with Rowan and as a Designer for Sirdar. Her work has been featured in magazines; including Knitting Magazine, Let’s Knit and Olann. Alitzah’a range of hand-made Stitch Markers are sold all over the world from her Folksy Page and you can see at selection at Wool Zone.
Sara Thornett is a designer with more than 10 years experience in knitwear design and consultancy. She has had patterns featured on the Rowan website, in the Knitting Generation published by Quail, and in Pom Pom Quarterlymagazine. She has also worked as a Tutor and Design Consultant with Rowan and has a wealth of experience in tutoring knitting and crochet.
Julie Beardwell is the owner of Wool Zone. She has been knitting for almost 50 years (how did that happen?!) and crocheting for just over a year. She loves knitting socks and is happy to share tips and techniques with anyone who will listen.
